This week I talked with Tyler Bramlett, who built the body and the business the world told him to want, and Joomin Hwang, who crossed an ocean at thirty chasing a stage he wasn't sure he'd ever reach.
This week, both conversations really made me think about the difference between chasing a life and actually living one.
I know that trap better than I'd like to admit. You pick the thing, you chase it, you measure every single day by how close you are, and then you finally get it and just stand there waiting to feel different. What both of these guys landed on, in completely opposite ways, is that the freedom was never in arriving. It was in letting the doing be enough, long before anybody handed them a result.
"If you dream your dream as a noun, then until you become it, your life is constant failure. And if you're lucky enough to become it, you just lost your dream."
If something in that landed, here's where to go:

JOOMIN HWANG
a dancer who moved across the world on six words of permission and learned to treat his dream as something you do, not somewhere you land

TYLER BRAMLETT
a man who got everything success was supposed to be, then blew out his knee on a gymnastics floor and slowly found out none of it was the point
Until next time, Matt
